IV therapy

A three-seat lounge, designed to be somewhere you would actually choose to spend an hour. Good light, a proper chair, a blanket, and a nurse who isn't watching the clock. Bring your laptop or don't. Most people are back on the street inside forty-five minutes.

Some of what happens in that room is squarely medical — fluids and antiemetics for a pregnancy that isn't keeping anything down, iron for a deficiency we've documented, fluids after an illness that emptied you out. And some of it is simpler than that: an hour in a quiet room, on a week that has asked a lot of you. Both are good reasons to come.

Every bag on the menu is named for what is in it, because that is the only thing we can honestly tell you about it. A physician reviews every order, and if you want to know what the evidence behind a particular bag actually looks like, you'll get the honest answer rather than the brochure one — including when the honest answer is that people find it helpful and the research is thin. And if an infusion isn't the right call for you at all, you'll hear that before you've paid for one.

Some infusions are clinical rather than elective — iron for a documented deficiency, anti-nausea therapy in pregnancy, migraine treatment, and the pregnancy and postpartum drips. Those are ordered with your care, after an assessment, rather than off this list.
